Avocado Ice Cream

I have a very strong sense of right and wrong. Mine just isn’t necessarily in tune with the rest of the world’s views on that distinct divide. Somebody steals a necklace, I might not think twice about it. A kid falls down, I may laugh.

This avocado ice cream might be one of those things that just feels wrong for most people. If I’m being completely honest, I was sort of suspicious at first too, but it didn’t take long for this incredibly creamy and irresistibly tangy ice cream to win me over. I don’t care what your moral compass says, you have to try avocado ice cream!

1 avocado

1 lemon

2 limes

1 can of condensed milk

1 cup greek yogurt

1 tablespoon honey

(fresh mint, chopped)

How to:

Mash the avocado with a fork. Grate the lime peel and squeeze the juice from both limes and the lemon on the avocado. Mix with condensed milk, yogurt and honey and refrigerate. Add a bit of chopped mint if you’d like.

Toss the cold mixture into an ice cream machine or do it by hand: freeze for an hour, mix thoroughly and freeze for another hour. Repeat the cycle until it resembles a soft ice cream.

  1. That looks amazing, I’ve got to try this at home! Thanks for the special advice for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to have an ice cream maker!
